Potentially a very good story line but takes far too long to get to the point without building up any kind of suspense until the final few chapters. Personally felt it drawn out and rather dull. Good language behind a flat story with a fair few inaccuracies. Not to my taste.

I might not have been in the mood for this book, but it just didn’t work for me. The story was very cliche and I had suspected the ending from the moment that the characters were introduced. This book is a fine, cosy, Christmas read but didn’t keep me hooked :(
