Another entry into the Daniel X series. I wasn't sure if I was going to read this one, because I really lost interest in the series after the last two books, but I have a very hard time letting go of a series once I started it, so here we go. This one was definitely better than Demons and Druids, but I still had to fight to keep interested. I think there is a major flaw in the series and that is the fact that there is really only one character. All of the other characters who transfer from one book to the next are all constructs of Daniel's mind. I'm really not sure how we are supposed to feel any emotional attachment to any of them. Daniel also comes off a little too cocky sometimes and that is a bit of a turn-off. Also Daniel's lighthearted approach to life or death situations makes it difficult for the reader to feel any real danger or suspense. This could be ok if his quips were super funny, but they usually are run-of-the-mill action movie quality. I hope Daniel goes for #1 next book and finishes the series for good.

Very predictable from the start. Definitely not a favourite of mine

There was a part where Maximum Ride was referenced that amused me to no end.

I walked into my shop by work and saw this book there ten days before its release date so I grabbed it up. It was amazing, for some reason my fave of his books is when they're held in a different country hence private and during a major event hence the Olympic games 2012 n 2016/world cup 14. I say I still prefer the previous games book but I did love it.

"When Daniel X discovers that a duo of evil extraterrestrials is plotting to control kids around the world through videogames, he's determined to take them both out of commission. This pair of wicked game masters wants to destroy the human race by turning brainwashed videogamers into an unstoppable army of doom!"

This could totally happen...maybe. I love the idea though, that videogames can completely control you. Creepy.

Not nearly as good as the first three. Everything seemed random and unplanned and awkward. I was very disappointed, but can't wait for the next one, because it's still such a good idea!

It’s alright, if you’ve read this far in the series is much of the same. The Max Ride mention was cute.

I've enjoyed most of the Private series but this one wasn't as good. Most of the story was fairly obvious and predictable. I did finish it but I found it difficult to stay interested in the story.

Absolutely atrocious rubbish book from Patterson Inc that was in equal parts non-sensical and uninteresting. I think I said there couldn't be a worse series than his Maximum Ride books and then I read the Witch and Wizard books, and that was the bottom of the barrel, well we just dug a new hole in the barrel.
