Fun dip into English folklore; the biggest issue is that this first book feels like two novellas squished together rather than one story, but as I saw that in reviews ahead of time, it didn't bug me. Following a half-dryad who's not entirely at home in a human world, the first half of this is something of a murder mystery, while the second half is more of an adventure story. Had fun with it, though I'm biased to the whole 'weird things happen in an English forest' genre. Will probably pick up the next book in the series at some point.
