yes. a 5/5. this was a very deliberate choice that I had made, didn't even meant to read it even if it was from my fav bl author EVER possibly because of the *questionable* concept and vibe. but boy I was wrong. I legit cried reading this, at least once. Phi is so precious and needs to be protected at all cost, and Apollo needs to ALSO be comforted for the heck of it, and I need them both to be at peace and happy.

however, i sense that this manga is so slow in its translations (waited almost a year to finally read the recent chapter, ya Allah) and I don't exactly know the situation of the release in Japan, but, I really really can't wait to read more. because I sense an abundance of angst and pain coming up.

Color me intrigued! I'm already a sucker for brothel settings, but the lengths this series goes in showing that the birds are treated fairly, given every comfort, and are only allowed to stay if they truly love the work was fantastic. Calling it "realistic" might feel like a stretch given how absurdly high the club's standards are, but how these first few chapters portrayed the characters felt grounded in ways I don't often see in BL! Apollo comes off like a mature adult and Phi in contrast is playful and hotheaded, but neither feel one-note, especially as the volume progresses. Excited to see where this one goes!
relaxing slow-paced

I was curious how this would read, and honestly? It was amazing.

The plot is really intriguing. I want to know more about their backstories. And as we learn more about the characters, I find myself becoming more invested in how the story will play out. Also, the art captures everything beautifully. I could easily follow along. (That's saying something, as I often have difficulty with action scenes.)

Enjoyed reading this book!

Same manga-ka that did Coyote, so I'm already a huge fan of the art. As for the plot line... it's intriguing but this is the first time I've read a BL where one of the main characters is a straight man? And that is a thing for the other men that work at Shangri-La? Not my exact cup of tea but interesting.
