I love the family history section of the book but the plot in the present day is less interesting, and I still struggle a little with the ending.

I sniffed a pregnancy trope and decided to put it down. Definitely an interesting book with some hefty topics to consider. It was just a bit too heavy-handed for me.

I just couldn't get into it. It's very long, very boring, and very gross at times. Very out of place and anti-choice leaning sentiment on abortion at one point.

Wow this book is such a masterpiece, it’s very dark but very well crafted, I can’t believe it doesn’t have more of a cult following than it does. AMC has plans to make it into a show soon, so read it now before it’s spoiled for the world!

First of all, Anne Rice was diabolical for this book! I don't know that I want to finish the series, because that one book was a huge commitment. However, the writing style and story telling were impeccable!
