DBF at 230 pages. I really tried you guys. Not even Taylor Swift could help get me through this book. Unfortunately it is not possible to give a zero star rating. Seriously, save yourself the headache, the time, and the braincells.

The ending leaves a lot to be desired, especially with the character of Bobbi, but it is still an incredible novel.

The character flaws manage to be both extremely boring and deal breakers for ever liking any if the characters. They all have very luke warm takes and for a book with almost entirely lgbtq characters, it really didn't feel like it had its thumb on the pulse of the queer identity. It's also overwhelming White and I didn't think the few instances of "self-awareness" helped.

if you'd like to be hooked the bored then heartbroken please read conversations with friends.

Frances is an emotionally vulnerable character who often lets those walk all over her she feels pain so immensely that she cannot even attempt to help herself and even when you think she might just get a happy ending she does not. I'm crying tears not real ones but they feel like a cool river.
