Kristin Chenoweth does a fabulous job with this quick read. I enjoyed hearing her quick but heartfelt stories and loved her little ADHD moments of singing and joy. My favorite mantra is enjoy the fish but leave the bones. Loved hearing her Broadway stories and I truly felt like I learned more about her after reading even though I was already a fan. Give it a read! It’s short but badass and thoughtful just like the author.

A collection of inspirational quotes, philosophical musings and some personal antidotes sprinkled throughout from Kristin Chenoweth.
💭
Chenoweth explores her belief system in this short memoir like title. Lots of quotes, scriptures, behind-the-scenes stories, colorful pages of inspirational quotes, engaging prompts, prayers and Chenoweth’s humorous take on life in general.

I love Kristin. My love for her rivals Dolly Parton and Beyonce. However, this book was just not for me. Lots of religious content and Bible quotes. I know many people that this will be exactly what they’re looking for. I wanted more memoir from this than ramblings, even if it was done with humor and love, as Chenoweth is known for.

CW: suicide, medical content, grief, medical trauma, injury, addiction, death, pandemic, religious bigotry, pregnancy, alcohol

I may need to read what these "memoir" style books are from celebrities before I just blindly borrow them from the library. I didn't realize it was a mini meditations book. Now that doesn't necessarily change anything other than it wasn't what I was expecting. I think in the first 5 minutes or so, I was like well now I need to read her actual memoir, but then after a bit, I don't think it would suit my tastes to read it because much like Reba's book, this one is heavy on the god talk and that's not my cup of tea. Especially not for meditation. I did like some of the other bits, but overall, not for me (which is totally okay!).

I loved this!!!! I wanted to read this before I meet her on Monday. She’s amazing!!!!!! This had me laughing and crying!!!! There is a lot of advice in this little book that hit me straight in my heart! I def will be rereading this many many times again in the future.
