HAVING THE MOST HATED CHARACTERS POINT OF VIEW IS CRAZY. However, this book IS AMAZING, and having Jacks describe Evangeline is the most devastating thing ever. The archer finally catches his fox and it is SO WORTH IT, and I love the call backs to her favorite story. Her being in love with him even though she forgot who he was is the most bittersweet thing ever. The valor family is so cursed but I just NEED TO KNOW MORE. The ending had me GAGGED, and “there is nothing of equal value to me” is still the best line ever from the last book, but this ending is a close second.
Just realized I didn’t write a review … but this book was easily a 4.5 ⭐️ I got a little bored in the middle which is why it took me longer than usual to finish this book but also the chapters from Apollo’s POV were so annoying … even when they were crucial and did give good insight to what was going on BTS … I still don’t like him. Of course there’s a happily ever after but for how much Evangeline brought it up I really thought there wouldn’t be one. Easily one of my new favorite series and I’m glad Jacks finally got the ending he deserved cuz he really was going through it … the thought of Evangeline losing her memories and having to relive all of that again was so agonizing and one of my least favorite tropes ever cuz I feel like it’s a waste of a book but it surprisingly wasn’t as horrible as I expected and the rehashing memories worked well
