But what do the apples do Stephanie???
I’m not the biggest fan of this book. The entire memory losing plot felt like a huge waste of time. I wish we’d gotten to explore the Valors more instead and had them be the villains. The last 100 pages felt so rushed and weren’t flushed out properly. Things just kept happening because we needed to tie plot points but it felt like they came out of left field. I felt similarly while reading Finale. Also, if I remember correctly, wasn’t there a whole plot point in Caraval about how if a Fate falls in love, they become mortal? That just never came up in this series. And how are Jacks and Evangeline supposed to live together if he’s immortal and she’s mortal? And how was his curse cured? By the power of love?? I still have so many questions! However, I still think this series was worth reading for the second book alone and also I find the characters to be super adorable.

A decent end to the OUABH tale, however felt lacking in places. Perhaps this was done on purpose by the author to make the tale feel more like one from the Magnificent North, but overall, it felt a bit rushed and some things lacked explanation entirely (no spoilers here).
There were things from the first and second books that weren't explained at all which was a bit disappointing. Again, perhaps leaving it up to the reader to decide makes the tale more like one from the Magnificent North, but considering the book had fewer pages than the others in the series (even with the bonus epilogues), there was definitely space to explain somethings. Some key characters were also missing which was so disappointing. Maybe they'll make an appearance in Stephanie's next book (if she stays in the universe that the 'Caraval' and 'OUABH' series are set)

En esta tercera entrega por fin sucede lo que espere durante los otros libros, es que el romance entre Evangeline y Jacks fue lentooo. Pero valió la pena. Odié a Apollo.
