Well I saw the movie first. It has been a while since I last saw the movie and I'm pretty sure that I still don't remember what was in the movie because it's COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. This could be considered a good thing unless you want one to be like the other. This book for the most part was a very good book. The only things that really kept me from giving 4 stars is:

1. There were a lot of slow parts where I began to lose interest and wanted to quickly move on.

2. There were two parts that were a bit too graphic for me however brief

3. There was a lot of the use of "God" and "Christ"

Other than that it was a great book!

I really love the Bourne movies. I've watched them multiple times, and they are among my favorite movies. So I decided it was time to read the book that inspired them. I have to say, I definitely prefer the movie.

There are a few similarities, but for the most part it's a different story. This book did keep me turning pages. It was pretty intense. My main problem is I feel it could have been a couple hundred pages shorter. There were just a lot of unnecessary details, and a lot of repetition. So much, that by the end I wasn't as invested as I could have been. I just wanted to be done reading.

I did like the book, and will most likely keep reading the series. I just wish the author would have tightened up the writing a bit.

Nothing like the movie in my opinion. But that just makes it better. There’s more action, spread over more time and many other places. The book also does a much better job of explaining who Jason Bourne is and what he was meant to be doing before he lost his memories. I also like Marie better in the book than I do the movie. She had more of a purpose and a role rather than just being a person hired to drive Jason here and there.

The book is always better than the movie! Can’t wait to read more into the world of Jason Bourne.

A book that I loved, an absolute must read, and now a favorite of mine. It’s a book that will live on my shelves forever and I would re-read in the future. I would pick up anything else by this author without question. This book is now one of my all-time favorites,

I watched the movie before reading the book because I didn’t know it was one. I liked the movie but I LOVED this book. It had me hooked from page one. My only regret is that I didn’t read it sooner. It’s nothing like the movie. The character isn’t even described as looking like Matt Damn but if you’ve seen the move that is who you will end up picturing the whole book.

Warning: This book will evoke anxiety! I'm not sure if the well known movie follows this book very closely because if I've ever seen it through, it was so long ago all I remember is Matt Damon and chases!

4.5 stars. Really great read! COMPLETELY different from the book. Like, 90% different. Totally worth reading even if you've seen the book a million times. I liked the story of the book better, though I do love Matt Damon....

I noticed people had said the books are nothing like the movies and yet I was still surprised that they weren't.

Not a bad thing though, really enjoyed the book and plan to keep reading the series.
