More of the on going adventures of Joe Pickett, Wyoming game warden. This book, however, is about one of the main characters, Nate Romanowski, Joe's secretive friend. The story was good and nice to hear Nate's backstory.

An interesting turn of focus to outlaw Nate Romanowski that really fleshed out his history and motivation.
Nate has always been my least favorite character in this series. I get the impression that the author thinks we should root for him and his anti-government stance. I don't root for this torturer. I think it's time for me to put this series aside for awhile. Especially since the only character I actually like, Sheridan, is away at college and only appears in an occasional phonecall.
