You know that movie Sucker Punch? Well, this book just has that kind of vibe. You know that movie Big Fish? Well, this book has that kind of vibe as well. It's pretty great that way. The environment this story creates is eerie, strange and interesting at the same time. The mystery the story gives, it just fills you up and tries to burst out of you.
I love how concise the chapters are. I also love how it's more of a story about finding family than a romance. Would definitely recommend reading this!

I absolutely loved this book. So much that I wanted to cry when I finished it because I wanted more of its characters so, so much. It should be noted that I may be biased because I grew up traveling with carnivals and had sideshow friends myself. So hearing the familiar terminology and getting to know similar friendships was like being in my childhood all over again. But regardless, if you're interested in circuses, sideshows, carnivals, or just great characters, pick up this book. It is lovely.
