4.5 stars!

Group Therapy is a steamy, witty, and over the top ridiculous (in the best way) romantic comedy featuring an almost licensed therapist and her ultra sexy, author patient. I loved this book! I was already a huge fan of BB Easton's brand of humor. But this book was on a different level. When I say laugh out loud, I mean full body cackles. The various outrageous characters completely made this story. Between the dramatic reality star, the neurotic mother, the angry sheetrock puncher, or the Twister toting life coach, I didn't stand a chance.

The chemistry between Lou and Thomas
is amazing. From their first interaction, I was hooked on them. Every awkward encounter, every mental breakthrough, I loved them together. The forbidden element created the most delicious tension.

If you're looking for a fun and unique romcom with a group of zany but lovable characters and hilarious situations, then Group Therapy is a must.

As someone who is interested in becoming a psychologist i was so intrigued to read this book but unfortunately it was a let down. This Book was cheap and corny. I probably only liked what equated to a short paragraph of this entire book. It was too millennial esk and cringey wording. Everything she did was just so dumb and mind blowing to me but u fortunately ppl are unethical like this is real life.
The literal fight club was just so far fetched and concocting a whole dramatized murder enactment with all the other clients was just so unrealistic and eye rolling. Like her doing that and literally pretending to die was so unnecessary. Like why would u ever do that to someone you love like that’s traumatic not inspiration inducing.

This is between 3.75 and 4 stars for me. It was a fun, quick read. Dual POV. Open door. Laugh-out-loud funny. I was snorting and chuckling. It is definitely irreverent and tongue-in-cheek regarding the various therapy patients and their treatment options. There are aspects of this that would not fly in the real world, and it has a definite over-the-top feeling. All that being said, it was the book that I needed when I picked it up--something to escape into--and it still managed to pull at my heartstrings.

Content Warnings: depression, anxiety, violence, aggression, feeling of being controlled, parent using a child as a support system / crutch, mentions of drug use, death of a parent (I want to include another trigger warning here about how the parent died, but that would be a spoiler.)

A hilarious, crazy ride that it could not put down! Buckle up people, s..t is about to be insane! Hippie communes, insane clients, one hot British author, one therapist with more than enough of her own issues let alone the feelings she has for her newest client and group therapy that is enough to put anyone in the looney bin!
