I devoured the series over the course of a couple of months. Took a little longer than I hoped because a few of them decided to take forever from Amazon. Hana ends up roped into taking her older sisters place in a marriage match never expecting that anything would come from it. Instead a we get a very sweet comical whirlwind romance between her and Takane.

I ended up reading the first one and instantly ordering the rest of them it's such a cute series kind of a enemies to lover romance between them. I loved Hana she's an adorable character and I think because of her I'm going to do bubblegum pink hair next. Each manga has the pair growing as characters. Takane had a lot of growing to do but he get's there eventually.

The artwork is as equally lovely as the story. I was captivated right from the start and fell in love with Hana and Takane's story. This is one of my favorite series that I'm so glad I purchased the set. They will always have a special place on my bookshelf and I know they will get some re-reads as I wasn't ready to say goodbye just yet. I plan to read the authors other manga as I loved this one so much. Highly recommend a perfect sweet romance.

In this volume, there's an amazing amount of story progression and character development, which I highly appreciated. While the first half centers around everyone adjusting to the new living arrangement (there's fun eye candy, and Hana goes to see the chairman!), the second half centers around Okamon's subplot, which the story's been hinting at for quiet a while, but has ignored for the past few volumes. I think it was last properly explored somewhere around volume three or four? Anyway, we see a bit of Hana and Okamon growing up together, and get insight into how they shaped each others' lives.

Also, the volume ends rather explosively, with
Spoilera confession of love from Okamon to Hana, which is pretty dang wild! I'm glad he finally said something. Honestly, I like Okamon in a general sense, as he's quite rational, smart, athletic, handsome, and a good person. It slightly irks me that he only really wanted to pursue Hana once he realized that Takane might take her away from him, but I do understand it given the nature of Okamon and Hana's relationship, and Okamon's character.

However, despite my sympathy, I'm still Team Takane, despite Takane's (many) flaws. I feel like he just makes the story so exciting, and he genuinely does care a lot about Hana, and their exchanges are really entertaining and funny as well. I feel like Takane and Hana push each other to be better, even though Okamon also does, and has done, that for years as well. But like, there's something about Takane that works for me better, I guess? I dunno, but Takane is definitely one of my favorite characters (as a main, lol) and I just can't stomach the idea of him giving up Hana, so even with the expansion we get on Okamon in this volume (which was much needed), I have to say I'm still Team Takane.

Overall, this was an excellent volume, mainly due to the progression of both the general plot and the character development of Okamon (and some for Takane and Hana as well). Frankly, it did some pretty necessary and interesting things, which I enjoyed seeing, both on the front of Okamon and things in the first half with the main couple. I'm glad I read this one! 4.5 stars.

Okay, so while I recall disliking Okamon a bit the first time I read this series, I actually don't think he's so bad this time around. The chapter from his perspective was interesting, and the ending was a bit of an (expected but still impactful) bomb.

In general, this volume definitely advances the plot. There's character development, story progression, etc. Honestly, see my first review. To sum it up: This is a very solid volume that does lots of fun things! 4 stars.

I love this series and even though there was a bit of a love triangle in this issue I have faith that I won't get drawn out. I dislike love triangles, but I also realize it is an easy trope to use in romance to create drama. I continue to love Takane and Hana.
