The writing was ok I just couldn't connect with the MC, especially Leigh. I also hate books were the heroine is celibate while he is out fucking around. And the sex scene he had with the OW showed he was a selfish, self-absorbed douche. Gave up after that. I like my heroines to have a bit more self-respect and quite honestly more of a sex life aside from these types of assholes.

While i’ve enjoyed the first two books this didn’t work for me. Too cheesy and surreal.

Jaxson West is a well known player and member of the Screw Crew. But 4 years ago he made a mistake one night and took Leigh Baxter to bed after the loss of her mother and then he walked away. But now he needs her help as his best friend, Marcus Reed is dying and Leigh is one of the only people who can help him.

Leigh Baxter had dreams and goals but the night she lost her mom things changed a little for her. She still worked hard to become a Cardio-thoracic surgeon but something changed within her. Now she has been asked to save Marcus and she has agreed but she's not doing it for Jaxson.

Jaxson knows he made a bug mistake that night but what will it take to convince Leigh to give him a second chance?

This is such a great series and I love watching the men discover love and everything that it brings.

I felt bad for Jaxson with how he grew up and overhearing the things that he did. I loved that Mr. Hayes brought all the boys into his house and raised them very well. Jaxson fell for Leigh years ago but knew he made a big mistake and by walking away he upset her even more. He was determined to show her how much he changed and I love how he set out to do it.

Leigh was heartbroken and vulnerable with the death of her mother but she still wanted things with Jaxson but it broke her when he left that night. I loved her friendship with Sebastian and he was such a great character. I was happy that Leigh was able to allow Jaxson a chance as she was much more complete. I was definitely sad when Leigh's dad showed her the papers.

Leigh and Jaxson were great right from the beginning when they hated each other, gave in, hated and then evolved into so much more!

The ending was great and I want a book on Marcus!!

“In another life, I could love you”
“Don’t hate me forever, Doc. Meet me in another life so I can love you without you hating me.”
Leigh meets Jaxson through a friend and the attraction is instant, knowing she should stay away she does until one phone call changes everything. Jaxon knows that what he feels with Leigh is more it’s a forever feeling and when she says she wants him he can’t say no even though she will hate him, walking away was the hardest thing he ever did and never got over.
After six years, Leigh returns after receiving a phone call to see if she can help their friend Marcus and she return to do everything she can. When Jaxson sees Leigh, he realises that he’s still in love with her and that he should have fought for her even though she hated him and hopes that this is there another lifetime. Leigh doesn’t understand what she’s feeling, and her friend tries to explain that she’s scared of losing him too. Jaxon knows what he wants and does everything he can to prove to Leigh that they will work.
The whole crew comes together while Leigh does her best to save Marcus’s life, you see the support and love they have for each other and the bond they have particularly Rhett and Danny when she asks him to be her Fairy Godfather.

This book was so emotional! I cried through most of it. The characters are so well developed you can't help but feel their pain and fall in love with them. I think Jax may be my new favorite in the series but how do you choose? Its a story of heartbreak and healing. What a roller coaster! Definitely a #MustRead
