I finished it, and now I am sad because I have no more of this book to read. The only reason it took me as long to read it as it did was because I read it rather slowly, wanting to make it last. I need some time to digest it, but this book was an all-around amazing package. From the characters to the action to the astoundingly well-researched plot, this book is what every last action-oriented film/book/movie ought to aim to be. THIS is what high-quality action looks like, not just random, stupid explosions. I cannot wait for this movie and hope only that it manages to do the book at least some kind of justice.

Not my type of book since there was not much character development and there was a lot of focus on technical issues.

I DNF-ed this one last year, but I wanted to give it another shot after how much I adored Project Hail Mary. It does have the same engaging pace, where you just have to keep reading to see how he gets himself out of the latest mess. It makes for a fun quick read. Where this book is lacking for me is in the main character’s personality. It just feels a little robotic and one-dimensional to me. I know he’s a genius and is focused on surviving, but I wanted more of his emotions, more of his reactions to things.

I didn't think it was very well written. In this case, the movie was better than the book.

I thought this was great - I literally couldn't stop reading it & read about 85% in one sitting today. My only complaint would be that I wish there was more story and it hadn't ended where it does. But, I think that just speaks to how much I enjoyed the characters and wanted more! I would be very surprised if this doesn't get turned into a movie. I hope it does.

I read this because it is my boyfriends favorite book. It was amazing. I love the way that it was written. The sense of humor is so real and uncensored. Some of it is hard to picture but that makes your imagination stronger. Loved it.
