*How little it takes to make some people happy, Juliet thought. And how much it takes for others.*
An unexpectedly breezy spy novel. I loved it once I realized I should approach it like Killing Eve.

I can’t find any flaws with this book. I enjoyed it very much from the moment I started it. I haven’t experienced that for a while.
Kate Atkinson at her very best.

Thank goodness this book is over, what an ordeal. The best thing about it was the Author’s Note at the end, too bad nobody told me that before or I’d have skipped the book and read just that. Disappointed would be an understatement. Duped into reading this by GoodReads more apt.
Usually, knowing that a story is basically true adds to my enjoyment. However, this story seemed very flat and one dimensional. I really didn't get to care about these people. Is it a spoof? A few funny moments and satirical comments. The non-linear sequence made the story more confusing and was unnecessary.
I love Juliet's exhausted/exasperated inner monologue in the 1950s chapters.
