This was very well-written (which isn't surprising, considering it is essentially the story of the author's life). It had really good character development (am I using that right??) and is well-paced. It's a book about being a human rather than anything else, which is perfect for me.

This book was so fun and emotional! I cried a lot as Maggie was growing and dealing with all the good and bad of that. I connected a lot with her anxieties and worries of how to do things "right". Really wonderful novel.

Maybe slightly less than four stars but still a great book. A lot of coming of age stories happen in the late teen years, but Maddie went through it in her early 20s, something I feel like is actually more relatable.

I loved the evolution she went through in learning how to stand up for herself with friendships, professionally, and with her family.
