Even the greatest love stories end. But what if this one didn’t have to?

Emma is having the worst day of her life. Frustrating. Chaotic. And the only person who could make it better is gone by the end of the day.

Yet even worse than all of that: Emma keeps waking up to the same day, over and over again.

But what if this is a sign things could be different? Can Emma change the heartbreaking end to this love story?

This is another one of those heart wrenching books that I loved so much but made me so sad at the same time.

To be living in a parallel universe where your husband dies the same time each night for months on end must be heart breaking 💔 how Emma didn’t lose her mind despite trying everything to prevent his death I don’t know!

This isn’t just a story about heartbreak, it encompasses so much that a mother has to deal with - home life, community commitments, family matters, work issues, peer pressure, social media, all kinds of relationships and so much more.

Emma is such a strong female protagonist, able to cope with this day in day out until she grabs the bull by the horns and makes the day do what she wants it to do rather than the other way round. The outcome is still the same until one perfect day something gives and is never quite the same again.

What I liked:
🧡 The yearly letters which showed their lives and progression of their relationship.
🧡 The range of emotions the book made me feel.
🧡 The lovable characters.
🧡 Dan & Emma being perfect for each other, but also showing their relationship wasn’t perfect.
🧡 The writing style.

If I had to sum Maybe Next Time up in three words they would be heartbreaking, powerful and beautiful. There were some really heartwarming moments, but some equally devastating ones. I loved Dan and Emma - they showed the hardships of relationships, but also the beauty. The letters throughout were so insightful to their relationship, and that last letter absolutely broke me! I honestly cannot say a bad word about this book and will certainly be buying a physical copy. Stunning!

Thank you Net Galley, Harper Collins and Cesca Major for accepting me as an ARC reader in exchange for an honest review.
