so so lovely <3 there is so much life and beauty in these stories. Jhumpa is a gifted writer and makes you feel for her characters in just a few pages. my favorites were “A Temporary Matter,” “Interpreter of Maladies,” and “The Third and Final Continent” but I enjoyed them all.

Nuanced and fraught but ultimately very sympathetic to its characters. Lahiri has a knack for writing low level despair and melancholy. I will definitely have to reread.
