Ugh this was like a 3.5/5 star for me. I got it on stuff your kindle day and was hoping for more.

Pros: I liked the main couple, summer and Enzo. I also liked the cousin of Enzo who ended up being summers roommate. The general plot of the book was interesting enough to make me want to finish the book.

Cons: I felt like there were quite a few holes in the plot. Things didn’t match up and the story was missing stuff. I also hated how he called her “freshman” until the end. The book was also very long, felt like it could have been A bit shorter.

Overall, the book wasn’t bad but it could have used another once over by an editor to fix plotholes.

There are 2 parts to this book. Part 1 is an introduction to Enzo, Summer and the people around them and Russo mafia family. Relationships are formed and broken. Part 2 is where it picks up after the ending of Part 1. I definitely enjoyed Part 2 more than Part 1. The plot is intense and the tension between Enzo and Summer steps up as well as Enzo's mafia life. Summer stands up for herself and her man. Loved the friendship dynamics in this book.

I really enjoyed reading this one and actually found it refreshing. It wasn't the best mafia book I've read but definitely up there as one of my most enjoyable reads. The writing was different and felt the ending was a little lack luster, but overall the characters were lovable, two of them made a redemption, the plot was well thought out and the little connections were nice.
