It's a beauty and the beast retelling, but made modern. I enjoyed the story and the characters but as it's a retelling and I already know the story, there where little to no surprises in the book. 

However I still really enjoyed the book and its characters.

Corny retelling of the Beauty and the beast. I didn’t even finish the epilogue. Also, there were some pages I skimmed. Not really worth the time to read.

A sweet funny sexy falling in love story

I love this heroine. Bonnie is a booknerd, and a reviewer and a loving daughter and sister. Jack is a recluse, and it takes us a little time to get to know him. But the tongue in cheek plot point of his writing a “Game of Thrones”ish book series makes for much witticism. Their meet cute is hilarious, both times. While the falling in love story seems slow and unrushed the pace is actually just right and keeps you turning the pages as fast as you can. Fun read!
