Honestly when I saw a review about the reprehensible handling of disability I decided to get rid of this book and focus on reading more books by disabled authors instead!

The novel held my attention until the morally reprehensible bs toward the end re: raising disabled kids and, essentially, that they’re a drain on society + parents and better off not being alive. This one scene I’m referring to was so horrible I couldn’t get past it the rest of the book.

This book started really well and the concept is cool, BUT plot twists that rely on first person pov character witholding info from the reader are just dissapointing.

Read it quite quickly and was interested in what was going to happen, but sometimes I felt like it tried to do too much. I don’t think there is one character in there that is healthy, there are many twists and some of them make sense and are good, but others felt unnecessary. Still enjoyed it overall, so 3 stars from me

What I at first suspected was an overused plot line became increasingly interesting as it unfolded with more twists and turns than I ever saw coming, complex and unpredictable characters, and challenging moral questions along the way.
