Everyone's back story was a bit intense, but this made for a really good book. i wanted to know more about each family member (Rosie, Katie and Maggie) alike. Even Catherine. The men were just side characters that made the story interesting. I couldn't put this down and enjoyed every bit of it.

3.5 but can not round up to 4. I really disliked one of the three protagonists in this. Katie was horrible and I starting cringing when her chapters came up. I was more invested in the parents story and would of loved a book just based on them. Life when you become empty nesters, especially a romantic life.

Sarah Morgan comes with a new holiday novel and her entertaining, well-written characters, all set in a perfect Christmas scenery. Readers will love this family that, with its flaws, the so different personalities, and the excessive sense of protection is ready to take the challenge to pursue a new path and found again the happiness through new familiar eyes.
Touching all the themes as family traditions, second chances, and forgiveness, A Wedding in December is the perfect holiday read, with its charming characters and an engaging narrative.
As I start reading Sarah's new novel, I was quickly drawn into it. It's so easy to feel connected with this family and their dynamics. Maggie, with her dreams and the devotion to her role as a mom and wife; Katie the protective and loving old sister; and Rosie, the sweet little Rosie, always in need of protection, but now the one her sister has to start relying on to overcome her emotional scars.
A Wedding in December gave me all the Christmas feels and I'm very thankful to the publisher for my copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

Rosie is the younger sister by quite a few years and has always been the one that the family has taken care of as she was born with asthma and it has impacted her life from the beginning. Her older sister Katie only knows how to take care of others and is horrible about asking for help herself and with a recent incident at work she is not doing a good job of picking herself up and moving forward. Their parents Maggie and Nick have been separated, but no one knows and they haven't been able to be honest with each other or anyone else about the status of their relationship. Rosie gets engaged at Thanksgiving and wants a Christmas Eve wedding in Colorado, so the family goes to support her, but all of their drama follows.

A Wedding in December follows the White family. Living in a sweet English cottage, Maggie always looks forward to Christmas because it means having her adult daughters home for the week, and the whole family spending time together. This year she’s a bit worried though, because she and her husband Nick haven’t yet told their daughters that they’re getting a divorce.
When Maggie’s plans are altered when she gets a call from her youngest daughter, Rosie, in the middle of the night. Rosie is calling to let her mother know that she just got engaged to a man she’s been dating for three months, and they’re going to be married at Christmas, in Aspen, Colorado! Maggie is worried that this is a bit fast, and Rosie’s older and more cynical sister Katie is flat-out determined to put a stop to the wedding entirely.
What ensues is such a wonderful, heartfelt story. I laughed and I cried while reading this. We see Maggie and Nick fall in love with each other all over again. We also get to see Rosie build her confidence and stand up for her love. And we see Katie, who has not been dealing with some recent trauma, tear down her walls and learn to let people in.
I love how Sarah Morgan gives us each woman’s perspective. Being able to see the events unfold from different generations gives the story an extra layer of nuance. I loved all three women, but Maggie especially pulled on my heartstrings, and made me appreciate my own mom even more.
I also love how this book focused equally on romantic love and familial love. Seeing each woman find their romantic partner was wonderful, but I love the emphasis on their family unit and being together. The only thing I didn’t love was Maggie’s insecurities about her weight, which came off a bit forced and unnecessary. There were also some scenes that were off-page which I wish we got to see in more detail.
Overall though, this was a really lovely read! Sarah Morgan has written so many Christmas novels; this is the second year in a row I’ve read them in December and I can already see it becoming a tradition!

Was in the mood for a cozy Christmassy read and I was definitely lucky to pick this up. It hit all the right marks for mez family oriented, some love and some troubles and a lot of cozy reading moments. Will probably look for more Christmas books by Sarah Morgan before December ends but this was a perfect read for November with Christmas on the horizon

Another very solid Christmas story from Sarah Morgan! Had to knock it one star down because of how annoying Katie was, though!

Glad to have finished off my Christmas reads with a good one - I liked that there were three romances going on with entirely different tropes in them
