Decided on this audiobook since it’s one of the famous controversial novels.
Maybe it’s just because I haven’t academically read in a book in a while or what, but I was not getting the deeper meaning... just the creepy. I think it being an audiobook narrated by Jeremy Irons of all people made it even creepier. Just an uncomfortable story that was predictable and meandering at times. Meh.

I already know it’s worth rereading. Nabokov’s afterword is also beautiful. A book which reputation supersedes its humble storyline of a crazed man and his crime.
