This was quite the charming little book. It was like picking up a little cake wrapped in a box and tied off with a bow for good measure. A matchmaking bonanza.
There was more complexity to the plot than I had expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The love stories (yes, there are multiple) were easy yet did not feel so rushed as to be unsatisfactory. Dialogue was quality, and pretty much all characters were likable and interesting.
By nature of it being only 200 pages, this book is not overly complex or deep. It is also not a diverse story, nor does it have an altogether unique plot. However, it does have a nice feminist spin and feels like an escape from the woes of male-dominated history.
