This is the first one that I have read in this series. I absolutely love MC books and this one was a great one. It was a little fast paced but covered everything that proved it to be a great story. I absolutely loved how Gentry becomes so much more than a biker by the end. I absolutely loved how he is willing to take on instantly something that changes his life. This was a great book from the beginning to the end.I absolutely loved Arika and her just being a teenager and trying to figure out life. Chelsea did a great job writing this book. I cant wait to read more from this series.

Please make sure to read the Dedication – considering Veteran’s Day is upon us.

Gentry “Deacon” Hawkins is a man who knows how to get things done. But at what price? Tempest Adams is a woman who seems to be at the end of her rope. Add into the mix a teenager who’s not afraid to speak her mind.

If you’ve not read any of this series don’t worry because Deacon gives you some information on the men in his group. We also meet some of the women. By the time you finish this book though you just may decide to go back and find out what you’ve missed.

For the most part these men are very honorable. They want to do the right thing for the people in their lives. There is some violence but it’s not anything you can’t handle and it needs to be there because of what the men of the Devil’s Due MC have been through. They are not the only heroes in this book. As you get to know Tempest you will see what a fighter she is. For me, it was the fight that these people had to face that I enjoyed reading. The romance, and I’m all about the romance, was just icing on the cake.

Some may think that the book feels rushed but their mode of transportation is a motorcycle after all. I was a little disappointed because it seemed as if the story ended too soon. But if you continue reading you will find out why. The author has included a nice surprise. It’s something that will lead you into the last book of this series titled Bottom Line that comes out at the end of this month.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
