AH. Taboo. CHECK ✔ older guy ✔ I loved this taboo treat especially after reading these characters in one of her other ones last year! So so good. I devoured it in one night which really isnt that hard when you enjoy a book.

So I wasn’t expecting to like this as much as I did!! Insta love but very sweet and heartbreaking all at the same time!

So, first off, I would like to admit that this is my first book by K. Webster and I went into this a bit blind. This was a shorter read, can be a read as a standalone but is part of an entire world. Jenna, who is the FMC, has had a tough go in life being in the foster system and going from home to home. She eventually ends up in a home where she meets little baby Cora and they have an instant, close-knit relationship that keeps them inseparable. Enzo comes into the picture and tries to protect them both as best as he can. He’s very sweet and takes care to keep them safe and in the midst of difficult situations and falls for Jenna along the way. I also loved that he was by her side and fought with her to get to the good in her life. Definitely an HEA here!
Full disclosure, I do/have read plenty of other "taboo" books and though I liked the characters, I had a bit of a hard time connecting to them in this context. This is just my own reading experience and in no way takes away from the writing and character development (which I thought was GREAT!). I know a couple of others that have read this book and have a different opinion than I do. Also, I will definitely be reading other K. Webster books as, like I said, I did enjoy many other things about this story and I've heard good things about her books!

Enzo is K Webster's newest release and it happens to be one of my favorites of hers.

Heartbreaking & Beautiful
This book was such a perfect combination of sweet, passionate adorable and heartbreaking. Jenna has had a tough life. In and out of foster care since she was a baby. Her one small glimmer of light is Cora. A banshee baby she never wanted but now can’t live without. When they are bounced into the life of Enzo Tauber their new case worker things seem to be going from bad to worse. Thankfully Enzo can’t seem to turn his back on the beautiful and strong Jenna and the adorable Cora. When Jenna ages out of foster care Enzo does everything he can to right the wrongs in their lives. With the help of a cast of characters who are just dying to dote on these two lost little girls this book had me smiling as much as I cried. I could not put it down and I’m sure this won’t be the last time I read this wonderful book. 5 Perfect stars.

Jenna and Enzo’s story was so much sweeter than I was expecting. Their relationship started out a bit slower compared to some of the past couples, but I think the back story into these character was definitely needed. Those scenes of them together at the beginning were actually some I loved most!
Our hero, Enzo, was close to perfection and incredibly swoony. While Jenna was pure strength, and determination — she was a tough girl to the core.
Enzo has definitely become a favorite from this taboo world. I couldn’t get enough of this couple.
If you love forbidden or taboo romance, this series is a fun one to read!
