The start of the book involves some iffy behavior from the mmc. But then the bbc calls him out on it and things improve. The family drama was tough to read but handled with care. I loved this couple.

It’s been a while since I read one of these. It was fine through most of it but the ending? Blah. I was expecting Gretchen to do more since she was a lawyer. Jack was kind of a waste. Colton was fine but at times he seemed to lose his characterization. It was fine but at the end, I felt a profound sense of meh.

This is such a sweet series, I loved and enjoyed myself yet again. I hope the author has plans for more books in this series
