This is a great book to read around the holidays. I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan of this series. I read the first one and thought it was just okay. I thought this one was good and what really saved it was it being a holiday read. This story was exactly what I needed when I needed it. I haven’t been feeling the holiday cheer but reading this definitely helped me with that. I liked both characters and how they interacted together. I do wish they communicated together more because I feel like that would have really helped their issues. The grumpy/sunshine tropes is one of my favorites and I really loved seeing this one between the characters. I also liked that the trope was reversed because I don’t read many like that. Overall, I would definitely recommend this one because it is cute, well written, and is a quick read. I also think this book would make a cute holiday movie!
Thank you so much @berkleyromance for the gifted copy on Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Pop star Colton Wheeler falls for Gretchen Wheeler - Public Attorney and heir to the Winthrop alcohol company.
She doesn't want anything to do with him and he isn't used to being turned down. Mainly because she's thinks trouble falls her everywhere -
her shitty childhood impacted her.
He eventually punches her brother in the face, unlike Colton.
Her brother presses charges, so she offers to give up her inheritance in exchange for him dropping the charges.
But Colton and her Uncle Jack wont let that stand. Uncle Jack uses his affair against him to make him step down from the company, put gretchen on the board and drop the charges.
Colton shows he knows Gretchen when he goes for the grand gesture and subtly approaches Gretchen at the bar to say he loves her and wants her to come home.
What I read: A Very Merry Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams
Why I picked it up: I found this series through a Goodreads giveaway a few years ago and now delight in the new book each year – and finally a Christmas one!
How I read it: On paper in an afternoon and evening staying up way too late – but I finished at 11:59 pm, so a book I read in one day.
What it’s about: Colton and Gretchen met at a friend’s wedding, but before he could make plans for what comes next, she ran away. Now her brother wants him to be the face of their family’s company and she’s the only one he’ll entertain an offer from. In exchange for the privilege being able to pitch him, he wants her to go on dates with him.
What I liked: Colton’s the only one who saw her family for what they were – abusive. And yet, she was the one who kept going back because she thought she was in the wrong.
What I disliked: Her brother was the worst – and that her parents didn’t do anything to stop him was awful!
Genre: Christmas, family abuse, immigration, open door romance.
Rating & Recommendation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and yes – the others in the series aren’t necessary before this one, but you’ll get a lot more of the backstory – and as the boys say “backstory is everything.”

This one was cute. I think she needs a lot of therapy and issues that were not taken seriously enough. I did like the excerpts of the fake book in this one.

One thing about me is I love a "little shit" MMC. Colton was so all-in in his pursuit of Gretchen it was sooo nice to see. I love their love!!!
