This is such a fun and spicy book.

Love the settings of this book at the zoo and beyond.  There is lots of poop in this book which is super relatable if you’ve done any work with animals.

Both main characters are real and developed in the story,  you really root for them and them getting together.

This is a rom com and there are some laughs but also so tender a sad moment.

When one of your favorite fantasy authors announces that they’re starting a contemporary romance series, you race to read it! She’s a Keeper is the most magnificently fun, contemporary romance I’ve read in a while. It’s centered around a family of zookeepers on this tiny island that is only busy during the summer months. The animals were all so much fun!! The atmosphere was ripe with descriptions and lived in knowledge. It made me want to pack my bags and go on a trip.

Lark, my little, grumpy, chronically organized, bisexual queen, I freaking loved her!! She carries the weight of her own expectations on her shoulders and she’s so real for that! I truly think Logan was her match because of how much they balanced each other out. The build up and tension was just so hot imho. It made the spicy scenes that much hotter too.

As always, Ali K. Mulford packs all the LGBTQ+ rep in. It’s really one of those everyone’s queer situations, and it feels like a warm hug. Looking forward to all the siblings getting their romances (especially Finch and Heron!!!).

I was absolutely in love with the Lachlan family and the setting of this book at the Prickle Island Zoo. Lark definitely has grumpy black cat energy and Logan is straight up a golden retriever energy at its finest. They’re just so perfect for each other.
The queer representation in this book was phenomenal!
This book is funny, sweet, spicy and full of fun animal facts. Read it!!

Was this book written for me!?

I appreciate how this book didn’t shy away from poop or the stress of working with animals. SO MUCH POOP. I loved seeing behind the scenes of Prickle Island zoo and how Lark was so committed to her animals.

I am obsessed with this series already.

Perfect palate cleanser for when you just need something light-hearted to sink your teeth into.

Contains: animals, lots of poop, spice, grumpy/sunshine, close family, bi mc, insta attraction, forces proximity, ANIMALS

I  received  this eARC from the author with the intention of reading and sharing an honest review
