Final thoughts: Amazing story. Dragged on a bit in places that it didn’t need to, but otherwise beautiful. Very complex, but not too hard to follow. Loved it!!

It's an exceptional classic! I loved it so much. The characters were filled with depth and layers that would surprise any first-time reader. The story is so we'll planned and constructed, and the premise itself is terrifying. It's a must read for anyone looking for a brilliant example of Gothic literature at its best!
I had a great time revisiting this book! Excellent discussions of ethics, mental illness, and morality. Are we still responsible for our actions when the effects are far beyond what we intended? How can we raise children to be better than their parents? When does the pursuit of knowledge go too far? Truly wonderful stuff!
