Although I haven’t read a lot of horror novels, this as the first one that actually filled me with real TERROR. It was little difficult to get into but at around page 80 I found I couldn’t put it down. Definitely a banger!

I think I may have attempted to read this ages ago? But I listened to Dan Stevens narrate it, and he did a marvelous job. This was much sadder and darker and less scary than I was expecting, but it was very beautiful. Shelley did a remarkable job.
