While I don’t love it as much as middle grade fantasy, middle grade sci-fi is valid.

It was a different experience rereading “Powerless” now, but it still made me cry. Even without the nostalgia factor, it’s a good book.

Cute for intermediate readers. Twists and turns kept it interesting.

Who wouldn't want superpowers? But what gives the young people of Noble Green there fantastic powers? A meteor? Space aliens? Something in the water? The dark shadows that loom in the old quarry?

This book was fun to read! It is a must for any middle schooler. It is easy to see why it is up for a state award. Matthew Cody creates a suspenseful page turner with a sense of humor! Can't wait to read the sequel!

A fun read. Definitely can think of lots of kids to hand this one to!

This book was really really good! It tells about children who have super powers that save one another from the shrould with the help of the norrmal new kid Daniel! Its very ironic! YOu always think one thing will happen but then theirs a twist

This book was short but good. It took be about 2 days to get through and there was never a dull moment. I was hooked from the prologue. There were so many characters to relate to in the book (personally I relate to Mollie). It was a really easy read and I know it’s meant for a bit younger readers but it was still enjoyable and very interesting.

Good read for the middle school superhero fans. Daniel moves to town and soon discovers that his friends have a secret--they have superpowers! But these mysterious powers disappear on a child's 13th birthday and they then have no memory of ever being a Super. Daniel is, of course, just an ordinary boy but he and his friends team up to find out why the powers don't last past age 12.

This book was clearly written by a superhero/comics fan and it's also got some Sherlock Holmes wrapped in. I was engrossed and I don't even read superhero stuff!
