Pitch perfect in every way, Barker really shines on this one. I could see kids reading this at age 9 without issue. Would recommend to any fans of the interstice betwen horror and fantasy or anyone looking for a good yarn.

I surprisingly really enjoyed this book. At first, I thought I wouldn't care for it, so I took my time with this. However, the story was very engaging and it was pretty fast paced. Harvey definitely grew as a character. He realized the error of his ways and took responsibility. He was a great protagonist who had great supporting characters (such as Wendell and Lulu). I would definitely recommend this to children and adults, just like I would not hesitate to recommend [b:The Phantom Tollbooth|378|The Phantom Tollbooth|Norton Juster|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1320476717s/378.jpg|1782584].
