I read this in one sitting, and then went back to reread all that I had bookmarked. It takes "twisting their words" to a completely different and powerful place.

This volume of Kate Baer's poetry is a balm to the internet. I've encountered a few of her blackout pieces and loved reading a whole book of them. I only wanted more. I didn't realize she created pieces from both positive and negative feedback, as well as current events. It gave me some food for thought about reactive writing and how to be creative in the face of internet critique. Love her work.

Beautiful and infuriating. Every poem made me emotional. The balance of hope and hopelessness that Kate has created through sharing abusive messages and the poems she created out of them will stick with me for a long time.

Im just not the biggest fan of blackout poetry. The author does a great job of being inspired but i dont think it was as inspiring as she meant it to be. The messaging in some poems just felt lackluster
