So good!!!!! I loved the idea of Signa and Death being tied together. You’ll love Death if you’re a fan of The Darkling from Shadow and Bone or The Shadow King from The Shadows Between Us. This is also for fans of Kingdom of the Wicked! I was 100% convinced I knew who the killer was and I was WILDLY wrong. I loved the twists!! And even that last line 😱 I can’t wait for the sequel!

The book is quite good and it's super well written, but it has parts that don't quite convince me. It's very slow, and it's only at the end that everything gets tense. I loved how the author writes, however its true that there were parts in which I was bored. 
I was so sure I was going to give this book 4 stars, but it was very predictable and I didn’t like the fact that Percy was the one behind everything… 
The romance was good, but I expected more. Of course, there’s a toxic relationship between the MC and Death (I don’t know why authors LOVE to write about toxic relationships), and the tension between each other is great, but since the very beginning I knew who Death was…

It was fine. Had to decide on whether to give this a 2.75⭐️ or a 3⭐️, because some of the writing felt unnaturally and clumsily poetic, but there were also some solidly written moments? Will not recommend this one! Truly impressed how a book with Death as a literal love interest could feel generic.

Book felt slow at times, but overall was an enjoyable read. Some of the plot twists were fairly predictable.
There is a sequel, undecided if I will read it just yet. Vaguely reminds me of the murder mysteries by Deanna Raybourn 

the ancient entity/being x 20 year old girl romance is NEVER going to be for me. Would have enjoyed the romance aspect more without it.

I adored it. The writing was solid, the mystery was intriguing, and I liked the characters a lot. I only wish that the foreshadowing for the love interest plot twist had been more thoroughly fleshed out. I somewhat questioned if that plot twist was going to happen, but then I managed to convince myself out of it really well, so idk if it really flowed well. Still loved it though!

The main character can’t die, but she uses near-death as a way to talk to the reaper, so she essentially repeatedly commits suicide without facing the lasting consequences.
