it’s obviously easy to read this since watching the show. I do love having the ability to know the characters how they were intended.

I went into this book with low expectations because the consensus I had previously heard had been that the book was not as good as the series.

However, I think that was a good thing because it meant it couldn't get any worse than what I already thought it might be. I really enjoyed the romance and I found it much more believable when compared to the series as the book is only told from the POVs of Simon and Daphne (and none of the sub-plots that are included in the series). The sexy scenes were not all that sexy IMO but the banter between Daphne and Simon was funny enough to make up for it.

Additionally, I also thought that the "scene" that was very disturbing in the show was still disturbing in the book but I would say *a bit* less, just because Daphne actually communicates with Simon about it instead of just doing the deed in a very manipulative manner, but the entire premise was still what knocked off an entire 2 stars off the book. It's just not something I feel comfortable supporting in a romance book.

The series were better and I didn't like the book.

The marital rape disgusted me, and the both acted like it never happenend. Like oops.. and then they shoved it under a rug.

Simon's thoughts kind off disgusted me aswel? Like he. believed that Daphne belonged to him and that she should obey to everything he asks. Barf

Also Simon acted like he did her a huge favor by impregnating her. And to be fair Daphne did want children but don't you think he should be thanking her for being gifted fatherhood?

Anyway, I don't think I will finish the series ( Could totally be lying here, because they were addictive, but we shall see )
