I hosted the author at Avid Bookshop a couple of months ago, and he was so interesting and smart that I decided I needed to read this. It's well-crafted and poetic, focusing on the emotional and highly personal story of Brent and his family. But the explorations into philosophy, the concept if The End of Times, and the unsolved mystery of why this desecration happened in the first place are all quite compelling.
