potential was wasted and my day is ruined.
all the pretty, flowery, elegant writing started to become very pretentious, very quickly. perhaps it's the writing style that couldn't match with the genre, because while the lines read poetry, there was no substance between them. the concept of the plot was sooo intriguing, only for there to be no plot??? maybe I'm being too judgy, considering I've only read 40%, but it seems like the pretty writing was supposed to "make up" for the lack of plot, but it didn't for me.
red and blue. i did not give a single fuck about these two. they were just... there; neither felt like the main characters at all. both women felt like robots (I mean, one of them is sooo...) just this cold, soulless shell of a human. that's what made the book so so sooo boring. they were boring.
although i'm aware that this book isn't for everyone, my scorning fury for overhyped-books-that-are-extremely-mediorce-and/or-fucking-horrible remains ablazing.
tried to force myself to read atleast half of the book, but i chose peace today.

I have no idea how to explain anything from this book but it’s still a good read. Focusing on Red and Blue’s letters instead of explaining things like why there is a war and the poetic language used makes this book stand out in a good way. However reading this book took a lot of energy. Even with under 200 pages.
