I thought that the plot twists, and terror factor was on point. There were multiple times in this book that I was actually freaked out. The ending completely blindsided me and I still can't get over it. I will say that the first 50 pages were really cringy and that's why I didn't rate this 5 Stars. If you can make it through awkward high school interactions, then I think this will be perfect for you. Once the story picks up, it goes away, and you are met with a great story with plot twists you wont be able to guess

I was not comfortable with some of the content discussed in the book at the moment because I have had some unfortunate experiences with certain things mentioned in it recently. I'll probably pick it back up when I feel more comfortable with that topic, because I was very intrigued.

This book really is Scream meets Happy Death Day, the description isn't wrong. If you like horror movies, this story will be one you'll like. Anyone not into slashers or horror films should skip it for sure though.

Obviously not the best book I’ve ever read, but it did suck me in. Pretty good for your first intro to horror novels.

overall okay. there was some stuff in there that i didn't like as someone highly critical of the true crime genre (never forgave the main character's friends for making a podcast about her dead sister without her consent) but i think the story overall is passable for what it is, which is a book that riffs on slasher movies. the ending is by far the most controversial thing about this book but personally i was ambivalent to it
