This is YA horror, marketed as Scream meets Happy Death Day, two of my favorite horror movies. I loved all of the references and fun facts about horror movies thrown in there. This one was a wild ride, I ate it up! Did I figure out the final twist fairly early on? Yes. Was I still entertained by all of the twists and turns the author took me through to get there? Absolutely. A few of the review I have read are saying the ending is trash. I entirely disagree. That ending was perfectly aligned with the slasher movie type of ending. This read is perfect for the spooky season!

DID NOT FINISH: 24%
I could already tell where things were going, which isn't a true negative, but I didn't feel inclined to continue this very YA story. The obsession with the guy from the gym was super cringe to me! I also looked up the spoilers and had a massive eye-roll moment so I'm okay not finishing.

I liked the idea of this book. And I really enjoyed the horror film references that are made all throughout. However I feel unsatisfied with how it ended. It was enjoying the end of the book until the final few pages. There are plot holes at the end that I wish was resolved.
