How to Survive Your Murder is a YA thriller with ample horror movie references. It is twisty and well paced, and if you are a horror flick fan this will hit a lot of spots for you.

I think this book is great, it just wasn't exactly the book for me because I don't love movies so many of the references flew over my head. I did suspect two of the major twists before they happened, but the final twist properly shocked me. This may be five stars for you if you like a fast YA thriller with movie nods.

This was a quick, bloody, pop culture filled teen romp that would work well if it's ever adapted for a Netflix show, for example. A unique take, but there's definitely some plot holes to make the twist ending work. Overall, I had a fun time.

It was cute for what it was. The ending didn’t really click for me, but it kept me on my toes nonetheless! I loved the “happy death day” meets “scream” vibes!
