I didn't really have a desire to read this series until I found out I should read these to read once upon a broken heart and I am so so glad I am reading it. I read this one in about a day and I am already halfway through the next one I am hooked. I am so intrigued by this world and the characters and to see where the story takes them. This was so so good

I LOVED the magic and the world, so whimsical and enchanting. It took me a while to read this book though, I found that in the beginning it was ?boring and I couldn’t get into it but it picked up more in the middle/end. The language is so weird… why is every other sentence some long winded description about the sky. I have a love hate relationship with Scarlett, love that she is doing her own thing now/her character development was great but some of her decisions… just so irrational. I do enjoy the Julian/Scarlett relationship. Tella and Scarlett are a beautiful example of sisterhood and love. I also liked how I was always kept on my toes, when I thought I finally got my answers… BOOM it switched up lol.

I had this series on my summer reading list and found the audiobook on YouTube (free, no commercials or breaks). Naturally, I immediately pressed play and had only intended to listen to the first few chapters before buying it. By chapter 3, I was hooked! Needless to say, I listened to the entire book within 24 hrs.

If you like adventure, mystery, and a wholesome vibe, this is a good read.

Descriptions in this book were great. It felt really vibrant and fun and whimsical but also tense and heartbreaking,
