I want to fight Donatella because what the fuck? Scarlett may have been extremely sheltered and dumb, but at least she was kind!

I really really liked most of this book especially the rollercoaster at the end. I wanted a bit more action at parts, but certain scenes really did surprise me.

The way Scarlett talks about Julian made me almost cry. Julian is legends brother. Tella made her own deal to start the game and book ends with her receiving note about potentially meeting her mom as long as she keeps up her end of another bargain.

This was a good fantasy and I’m excited about the concept of the series as I’ve heard the next book is about Donnatella and the one after is multiple povs. I did enjoy it but I didn’t think it was a really strong fantasy, why it isn’t 5 stars. I’m excited to keep reading and find out what will happen and how it ties into once upon a broken heart, as I stopped reading that series to read this
