This book was SO GOOD. It was my first ever audiobook and i loved it. The story just made me so happy. I absolutely loved the characters. Im so jealous of Alex because I think I love Henry. No joke he was so so cute and funny and I loved the times he would loosen up and have fun. Alex and Henry's love is my favourte thing everrrr, they are perfect for each other. I also love the friend group June, Nora, Bea and Pez. They're all so cool and seem like so fun to be around. I also really liked the politics element in the book, the new election Claremont  against Richardson, I had no idea about American politics so I thought it was really interesting. ugh i hated Phillip, he was everything that came to mind when I thought of an annoying British snob, who thought England was greatest thing ever and thats another reason why Henry was so good, because he understood that the british empire and british crown done horrible things in the past. My favourite part of the whole book was when they were arguing with the queen and the queen was saying that no one would approve of them and then out the window there were crowds of people waving flags and signs of support for Henry and ALex and then Henry was looking out the window in shock and awe. It just made me so so happy for him because he had been hiding who he was for years and seeing everyone support him must have been incredible. I loved this story i thought it was so cute and i cannot wait to watch the film

I know this about the book but the movie did not do it justice

This book was sweet, touching, and genuinely laugh out loud funny, if not a little contrived in some parts. And there were parts that definitely felt like a woman was writing a gay/bi man, and not an actual queer man. But still, it was cute and fun and I enjoyed it.
