Book 3 had a surprisingly satisfying conclusion. I often find myself feeling let down with the resolution of a book, particularly when reading the resolution of a series. Not here:. All credit to the author for one of the more satisfying resolutions I've read in recent memory.

I loved seeing the third trial, the escalation of reveals about the magic, the escalation in the whodunit with the gods/goddesses..As noted in my review for book 1, I found myself least satisfied with the relationships, and that continues in each of the books in the series. while this book is billed as RH, it's more of "FMC in three open relationships". The fact that the three MMCs were brothers was never addressed to my satisfaction (only barely mentioned in the box-set-only epilogue). Mehgypsydawn's review against another edition

Browsing through my Kindle, I realized I somehow left this little gem unread from the time I bought it at release. A thorough reread of Book 1 & 2 prepped me to dive in - and reminded me of all the reasons I love Tate James. This book takes the tumultuous events of the series and narrows them down to a pinpoint plot - one that offers a HEA, though it's obvious the players will have to work hard to get to a full respite.
Secrets are revealed, identities discovered, friendships firmed and romances - no matter how rocky - are solidified. It's an exciting addition to the series and perfect in its execution, mainly because it focuses on what's really important, glossing over the superfluous non-entities that have dominated the narrative. The King is important.... or is he? Is he, and his actions the true driving force of this story? If you are anything like me, you'll smile as the last page draws near, content that the spotlight went where is should, while hinting at future troubles too small to put on THIS page.
And Sage! Loved to hate her, and now I just love her. Read the Author's note at the end, it gives clues as to the next breakaway story in this world, with our favorite Princess and her flashing swords. Now THAT is a tale. can't wait to get my hands on!

I was honestly really disappointed in this book. The first two were so good and this one felt incredibly rushed and like a massive let down. Basically nothing happened until 80-85% through, and then it all just wrapped up far too easily.
I will say that I loved Sagen and I do love where her story is possibly going, but this ending did not do the main characters or storyline justice in my opinion. It feels like the author got the idea for Sagen and just wrapped up everything here real quick so she could move on to that.

I'm not even sure how to review this series as a whole. There were parts I loved and other I absolutely hated so I guess its going to ride as a 3 right down the middle.
The start of the first book was slow, the second was action packed and well thought out, the third felt rushed. Everything that was building was resolved super easily with like new introduction of magic and other elements that just felt un-organic at the end. The last hour of the audio-book was so jam packed and the magic system that was in place seemed to almost change/alter so that the story could be finished. I did like the twist at the end of this book; they were done much better than the first book but still predictable.
This audio-book was entertaining but nothing to brag home about and the ending left with a very ominous message that their "happy ending" wasn't truly happy. I don't know if there is another spin off series of these books but personally I wont be finding out. In my mind the MFC got her 3 princes and they all lived happily ever after.

I’m happy that the series will continue on with other characters because there seems to be so much left to the story. Also I don’t think I could live without finding out what happens to sage. this was a bad finale. 700ish pages of building plot and issue on issue on issue being stacked up just for the author to solve all the issues in 20 pages by a god showing up
