This book is hard to rate because it reads like a fever dream. Some of it is beautiful. Some of it is a mess. The story is roughly chronological, but it bounces around a lot. But all of this reflects who O'Connor is, so instead of being frustrating, it feels like an accurate portrayal of who is she is. Which is a beautiful mess.

cw: child abuse, religious trauma

This is a very moving memoir of the many abuses and the blessings that Sinéad O'Connor has lived through, in her own words.
