A great series for beginning readers! Mr. Putter and his loyal cat companion, Tabby, will steal your heart. In this Mr. Putter & Tabby adventure they explore some creative (and humorous) ways to pick apples and pears so they can have some yummy fruit treats. Laugh out loud funny!

Cute old man plays with a childhood toy again and good naturedly exploits the old lady next door for baked goods.

Mr. Putter has a clever plan to have his pear jam made...with a little help from a sling shot and Mrs. Teaberry! There's nothing like a little Cynthia Rylant after a long day to soothe your nerves.

My mom read this book to me many times as a kid. It's so cute and very quotable. One of my very favorite picture books. One of my favorites in the "Mr. Putter and Tabby" series as well.

Read this book when I was a kid, and it was so memorable that I had to pick it up when we were at the library finding Early Readers for my kid. <3

The kids love this series, and this one in particular has one line that made all of us burst into laughter the first time we read it.
