Beautiful illustrations bursting with color and character. The text was just ok for me, though - it was a bit ho-hum and it had a few awkward transitional moments

Sweet, with good structure. Loved the saturated oil and collage illustrations. Highly recommended for ages 3-5.

Pairs well with Carl and the Meaning of Life. Daniel learns from the people in his neighborhood what makes a day good. Sometimes it is what the earth gives us, but it's also what we give each other.

So sweet. Will give little ones a lot to think about.

A delightful progression story.

Daniel asks all of his neighbors what makes a good day and on the way home he notices that everyone got what they wanted. everyone had a good day.

*SQUEEZE* That's a hug, because this book is beautiful and I love it.

Love Micha's collage art. This is a must for storytime in the future.

This picture book is about how a boy named Daniel tries to learn the meaning of "a good day." When he asks people in his community he finds that everyone's version of a good day is different. This would make a great read aloud for younger elementary children.

Rounded up because I think children and parents could use a reminder to enjoy the simple things.

A young child asks his neighbors what makes a day a good day for them, on his way to his grandmothers. On way home from his grandmother's everyone looks like they are happy and are having a good day.
